Megan + Sean

Laguna Gloria, Austin TX

Some couples stay with you forever, this couldn't be more true than Megan and Sean. Having already been married for quite some time, with no wedding photos, my heart swelled when they asked me to take their first formal portraits. Our vision, effortlessly blending the style of engagement portraits and wedding portraits together in one!

They had exquisite taste and booked the most beautiful venue in Austin, Texas - Laguna Gloria; for an early May morning. As she stepped out of her car, I squealed in excitement watching the flutters of flowing golden fabric dance in the wind as she moved. Next I noticed her bouquet, with beautiful contrasting blues, soft pink and deep reds. Sean was dressed in a dapper navy suit; the most perfect and well thought out compliment to her sunshine. They had perfectly dreamed up and planned their look, and I couldn't have been more determined to capture their love and their dreamy romantic style.

We ended up with lots of opportunity to explore the space with minimal competition from visitors, and I couldn't recommend the morning time more to beat the heat and all the patrons that frequent the establishment. From the stunning architecture to the lush green grounds we were captivated and in love with the creative opportunities we found here! We started in the Driscoll Villa, an Italiante style villa built in 1916, and flowed naturally through the grounds stopping along the way for all of the beautiful paths, ponds, and spaces that their hearts desired. Framed in vintage Italian designs, handcrafted woodwork, sculptured stone, sweeping palms, and sunshine, every location provided us with more than we could've even hoped for.

Our session was filled with joy, giggles, and even some spicy moments. It was hard to believe how quickly the time escaped us, as I left I knew that these photos were "it". These were what they deserved and didn't have yet! Moments captured that were romantic, bold, and authentically in love; everything that these two beautiful humans are. I couldn't have been more grateful to have gotten to witness these moments and preserve them for their hearts and home forever. My heart stands grateful today to have been a part of their story.
